Day by Day

Itinerary

Nairobi

You'll arrive in Nairobi and meet your driver guide who'll take you to the hotel. After settling in, the afternoon is yours to walk around the city and get a feel for the place at your own pace.

Aberdare National Park

After an early breakfast, you'll head out and drive through the thick forests of the Aberdare mountain range. By afternoon you'll reach the lodge, and from there you can watch for wildlife right from your balcony.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Starting after breakfast, you'll drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a full day of game viewing. Lunch happens at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, then you'll continue with afternoon and sunset drives. The park is known for black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, and flamingos.

Lake Naivasha

You'll have breakfast and then drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving with time for lunch. Check in at Sarova Mara Game Camp and head out for an afternoon game drive. The reserve spreads across open landscape with lots of wildlife to see.

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Starting early in Masai Mara, you'll spend the full day doing morning and afternoon game drives. The open savanna here has plenty of wildlife including members of the Big Five and over 95 mammal species throughout the reserve.

Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you'll head to Lake Naivasha for your overnight stay. Once you check in, the rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore the area however you'd like.

Lake Manyara

You'll travel from the Rift Valley back toward Nairobi, then head south toward Amboseli. In the afternoon, you'll go on a game drive looking for elephants, lions, giraffes, and other animals in the area.

Serengeti National Park

You'll spend the full day in Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park sits at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, which provides a great backdrop for wildlife photography and viewing.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

You'll cross into Tanzania and stop for lunch in Arusha. From there, you'll travel through the Masai Steppe and reach the edge of the Rift Valley. Before arriving at your hotel, you'll go on a game drive with views over Lake Manyara.

Karatu

After breakfast, you'll drive to the Serengeti and check in to your lodge or camp. Then you'll head out for an afternoon game drive in this well-known wildlife sanctuary.

Arusha

You'll spend the full day in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park holds large numbers of plains game and offers remarkable landscape and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you'll drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with packed lunches along the way. You'll descend to the crater floor for game drives. The crater is known to hold around 30,000 animals and provides high views of the area.

You'll have breakfast and then drive past Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, ending your East African safari.
