Day 1Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National park Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National park You will be picked up in the morning from the airport or your hotel and depart from Nairobi. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with an en-route game drive to the lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will check in, enjoy a scrumptious lunch and have a short rest before going for your afternoon game drive in the park. The park is home to warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, reedbuck, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find white rhinos at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as a birder's delight with many species of birds found here. In the evening you will back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay. Day 2Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara National Reserve Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, it is time to set off for a full-day game drive and enjoy the beautiful Mara savannah grassland landscape on rolling hills and its "residents". It is best known for its wildebeest migration which is seasonal between July, August, and September. If lucky, you will see all of the Big Five animals; if not, at least 2 of them! The reserve is home to a variety of bird species, which is a magnificent sight. You'll have a picnic lunch, and later, dinner and an overnight stay at the camp/lodge. Day 4Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park You will have an early game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve. Return to the camp for a hearty breakfast and a picnic lunch, and then depart to Serengeti National Park via the Isebania border. Serengeti means "endless plain" in Maa, the tongue of the Maasai. You will reach Serengeti by late evening. The Serengeti National Park is the largest in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs and mountains. Here, the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place, and depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals in their search for food and water. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to the lodge/camp to enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. Around two-thirds of the park is home to the above-mentioned animal species. Furthermore, the park is home to many other animal species, such as giraffe, buffalo, hyena, elephant and crocodile. Day 6Serengeti-Ngorongoro Crater Serengeti-Ngorongoro Crater On this day, you will descend over 600m into the crater to view wildlife for a half-day safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a wide variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another big drawcard to this picturesque national park is its dense predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. Many flamingos, hippos and other waterbirds can be seen here. After lunch, we will ascend from the crater and head to the lodge for an overnight stay. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world's most densely crowded African wildlife areas and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a wide variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and the giant African elephant. The park is home to large herds of African elephants, as well as other wildlife like lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes.
