You will start your Namibian safari straight away, taking the road southwest through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands before you head down the Great Escarpment into the Namib Desert below. You'll stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic location along the way. You'll arrive at your accommodation in the mid-afternoon. You will stay here for two nights whilst you explore the remarkable sights of the Namib Desert. This afternoon, you can just relax and soak in the scenic and tranquil surroundings at the lodge before joining your sundowner drive activity offered by the lodge. Day 2Desert Dunes Discovery Desert Dunes Discovery This morning, you will rise early for a magical excursion into the Namib Naukluft National Park, entering the park gates at sunrise to capture the dunes whilst the light is soft and shadows accentuate their towering shapes and curves. This area boasts some of the highest free-standing dunes in the world. Your guide will give you an insight into the formation of the Namib Desert and its myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environments. Once you have explored the areas around Sossusvlei and Deadvlei to your heart's content, you can enjoy a picnic in the shade of a camel thorn tree. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to explore the area around the lodge, or relax with a good book, and chat to your guide if you would like to add an extra activity. You will meet the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay. Then, you'll continue north to Swakopmund, where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal air for tonight. You pass Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg, which peaks at 2,573 m above sea level, and take time to view game and absorb the vastness of the scenery along the way. Damaraland is typified by displays of colour, magnificent table-topped mountains, rock formations, and bizarre-looking vegetation. It is the variety and loneliness of the area as well as the scenic splendour which will reward and astound you, giving one an authentic understanding of the word 'wilderness'. If time allows, this afternoon your guide will take you to visit the nearby attractions and geological sites of the prehistoric Twyfelfontein rock engravings (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) —if not, there is plenty of time to see them tomorrow. Day 6Drive to Etosha National Park Drive to Etosha National Park Today, you'll set off on your journey to the Etosha National Park. You'll arrive in time for an afternoon game drive in the park with your private guide. Etosha National Park is one of Africa’s most established and sought-after national parks. From open plains to arid savannah and some of the best game viewing around, this park has a lot going for it. Etosha Pan is the most recognizable feature of Namibia’s premier national park. It is so enormous that you can see it from space. This 120 km (75 mi) long dry lakebed is the heart of the park and is eponymous with the park itself, whose name translates to “Great White Place” after the characteristic coloring of this massive salt pan. The Etosha Oberland Lodge is located in a 5,500-hectare game reserve that shares a 10km border with the Etosha National Park. The lodge is open to the savannah, and wildlife can be spotted all around the hotel. Your meals and local beverages are included. Wildlife of Etosha National Park

Day 7Wildlife of Etosha National Park Wildlife of Etosha National Park Today, you will be treated to an exciting morning guided game drive into the Etosha National Park, to see more of the wide variety of game and bird species that are to be found there before returning to the lodge for a late lunch. There is then time to relax by the refreshing swimming pool before you head out again for an afternoon game drive before exiting the park before sunset (either in the park or at the lodge, as per discussions with your guide). Alternatively, you can opt to spend the whole day out in the park and either take lunch by the waterhole at the Okaukuejo rest camp or have a picnic while watching game at a particularly productive waterhole in the area. Once you are back, the rest of the evening can be spent game viewing at the camp’s floodlit waterhole while enjoying dinner, and afterwards. Your meals and local beverages are included.
