The drive offers stunning views of Uganda’s rolling landscapes, and you’ll arrive at Lake Mburo National Park around lunchtime. After checking in at the lodge and enjoying a relaxing lunch, the adventure continues in the afternoon with a 2-hour boat cruise on the lake. This experience brings you up close to aquatic wildlife like hippos and crocodiles while offering the chance to observe bird species such as fish eagles and kingfishers. The trek can last up to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements and where they nested the previous night. These plains, known as the mating grounds for grazers, provide an excellent chance to spot predators such as lions and leopards, as well as other wildlife. This thrilling game drive lasts about 4 hours, offering an opportunity to catch anything missed the previous day. Return to the lodge for a delicious lunch before heading to the Kazinga Channel jetty for an afternoon boat cruise. The 2-hour cruise offers incredible wildlife viewing, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, waterbirds, and more as they gather at the channel to drink or cool off. It’s a perfect opportunity for photography and soaking in the beauty of the park.
