Walking Safari and Game Drive - Nyamsika Camp
Day 2Walking Safari and Game Drive - Nyamsika Camp Walking Safari and Game Drive - Nyamsika Camp Early breakfast at 6:30 am. Morning walk toward Te Okot (2.5-3.5 hrs). Terrain is quite open and slightly hilly with some gullies and some Borassus Palms. Good chance to see some groups of elephants, and variety of antelopes especially in the dry season. Early lunch around 12 pm, followed by siesta to relax and soak in the wilderness. Afternoon game drive or another shorter walk at 4-5 pm. Walking Safari and Boat Ride - Pendero Camp
Day 3Walking Safari and Boat Ride - Pendero Camp Walking Safari and Boat Ride - Pendero Camp Morning walk to the River Nile Start walking downstream (4-5 hrs). Sandals are recommended for some wading through shallow warm water. This riverbed is frequented by variety of wildlife from waterbuck, buffaloes, Kobs, hartebeest, elephants, and an occasional hyena. Lots of footprints to observe. The boat will be waiting for us at the end of the walk to take us on a 2-hour ride to the bottom of the Falls and back. Packed lunch on the boat. Arrive to the camp late afternoon followed by rest or optional shorter walk. Day 4Walking Safari and Game Drive - Pendero Camp Walking Safari and Game Drive - Pendero Camp Morning walk around Pendero in the open terrain (2-3 hrs), with lots of expansive views, excellent for seeing herds of antelopes of buffaloes. Afternoon: Game drive or a short walk to the nearby gorge, with lots of wildlife and water pans for birdlife. Departure - From Pendero camp to next destination
Day 5Departure - From Pendero camp to next destination Departure - From Pendero camp to next destination Spectacular early morning walk downstream the Nyamsika Riverbed again (2 hrs), starting higher up after descending a very scenic valley from our camp. Expecting to see again plentiful wildlife. End of the walk is at Nyamsika Viewpoint, ending by vehicle pick and departure mid to late morning back to Kampala or the next destination.
