Meet and Greet - Departure from Maun
Day 1Meet and Greet - Departure from Maun Meet and Greet - Departure from Maun Upon your arrival at Maun Airport or your hotel, you’ll be met by your guide and safari vehicle. After a quick briefing, you will begin your transfer into the Okavango Delta, which will take around 3-4 hours. A part of the journey will be through the bush, so there is a chance to see wildlife on the way. Once we are settled into our camp, enjoy an afternoon mokoro ride (dependent on Maun departure time) where you might see hippos, antelope, giraffe and zebra. Remember to keep an eye out for reed frogs and malachite kingfishers that frequent the delta waterways Return to camp for a relaxing evening around the campfire with a delicious 2-course dinner and a chilled beer or glass of wine. Exploring the Okavango
Day 2Exploring the Okavango Exploring the Okavango As day breaks, enjoy a light breakfast prepared by our chef. This morning, we head out for a morning nature walk where we will see the delta from a different perspective. Travelling on foot allows us to see the tracks and spoor and learn how to identify them, and discover the many plants and grasses Back at camp, you will be served a hearty lunch, then relax with a siesta or birdwatching. Later in the afternoon, we will take you on a relaxing mokoro ride in the golden afternoon light. Return to camp for a relaxing evening around the campfire with a delicious 2-course dinner and a chilled beer or glass of wine. If the skies permit, enjoy some stargazing. This morning, we head out for a morning game drive to see what the bush has to surprise us with. Each day on safari is never the same, so fingers crossed for those elusive cats! Back at camp, you will be served a hearty lunch, then relax with a siesta or birdwatching. Later in the afternoon, we will take you on a relaxing mokoro ride in the golden afternoon light. Return to camp for a relaxing evening around the campfire with a delicious 2-course dinner and a chilled beer or glass of wine. If the skies permit, enjoy some stargazing. This morning, we head out for a last mokoro ride before returning to camp, where we will begin our transfer back to Maun, where we will say our final goodbyes.
