Day 1Maun - Okavango Delta Maun - Okavango Delta Your safari begins in Maun, where you meet your friendly Safari Addicts guide before departing in an open safari vehicle toward the Okavango Delta. The journey takes you through Botswana’s wilderness, with opportunities for wildlife sightings and a scenic lunch stop along the way. On arrival at your wilderness campsite, you are welcomed and shown to your spacious mid-range safari tent (approximately 6.0 m x 2.9 m x 2.5 m). Each tent features comfortable normal beds, a private veranda, and an en-suite bathroom with a bush toilet, shower, and sink. Our backup team takes care of all camp chores, allowing you to relax and enjoy the setting. After a short orientation, you may choose to unwind at camp or enjoy a guided nature walk or game drive. As evening falls, guests may opt for an evening or night game drive or relax by the campfire. Dinner is served under the stars, accompanied by the sounds of the African wilderness. Join a guided walking safari with an armed local guide for an intimate encounter with the Delta’s flora and fauna, or enjoy a morning game drive in search of elephants, buffalo, antelope, and elusive predators such as leopards. Return to camp for lunch, followed by time to relax during the midday siesta, while our backup team handles all camp chores. In the afternoon, continue exploring the Okavango Delta with another guided game drive or nature walk, allowing your experience to be shaped around your interests and pace. As evening approaches, guests may choose to enjoy an evening or night game drive or unwind at camp. End the day with a chef-prepared dinner enjoyed around the campfire beneath a star-filled African sky. This peaceful experience offers close encounters with birdlife and aquatic species and is seasonal and dependent on water levels. Return to camp for lunch and time to relax while our backup team manages all camp activities. In the afternoon, travel to a nearby local village for an immersive cultural experience, including interaction with community members, traditional storytelling, and dance, offering insight into life in the Delta. As evening falls, return to camp for a special farewell traditional dinner, enjoyed around the fire and celebrating the spirit, culture, and wilderness of the Okavango Delta under the stars. This is a final opportunity to experience the Delta as the wilderness comes alive in the early hours. Return to camp for a leisurely brunch while our backup team prepares for departure. You will then begin your scenic road transfer back to Maun, taking in the changing landscapes along the way. Arrival is in the afternoon, with drop-off at Maun Airport or your preferred lodge, marking the end of your safari and leaving you with lasting memories of Botswana’s iconic Okavango Delta.
