Day 1Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park On this day, you will set off from Kampala at 7 am immediately after your breakfast for the 8 hours journey. Drive to the Southwestern part of Uganda to Bwindi. This journey will be incredible as you will be seeing various things on the way such as banana and coffee plantations, long horned cattle, rolling hills. You will have a stop in Mbarara town after which you will embark on the road through the terraced Kigezi highlands, later arrive at Bwindi impenetrable National Park which hosts a rich ecosystem of different living organisms which you will be viewing the next day. Enjoy Dinner and Overnight. Day 2Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi After an early morning breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for briefing on the do's and don’ts during gorilla tracking and thereafter you will proceed to the gorilla trail. Gorilla tracking normally lasts between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. However, you will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch, which will be provided, as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. Later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, The drive will be through a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ because of its unique cool weather despite being near the Equator. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzias free. Dinner and overnight will be at:. Day 3Boat ride and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park Boat ride and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park In the morning on this day, you will have breakfast take on boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to explore different Islands, and thereafter you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park a home to large numbers of antelopes, and other animals like Buchells Zebras, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes, and birds, leaving the spectacular Kigezi highlands behind passing via Mbarara town which is home to the long-horned cattle. You will have lunch along the way, later arrive at the park, check in at the lodge and on a boat safari where you will be able to see other smaller lakes like Lake Bwa and Lake Kazamu, also enjoy watching buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, near the shallow waters. There will be a chance to see the birds like the crested cranes, saddle bill stork, Abyssinian ground hornbills and others. Have dinner and Overnight.
