Day 1Entebbe - Murchison Falls Entebbe - Murchison Falls Your adventure begins in Entebbe, where our team will pick you up early in the morning. From here, you'll embark on a scenic drive north toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located approximately 3–4 hours from Entebbe. Upon arrival at Ziwa, you may choose to participate in the rhino tracking experience, guided by expert rangers. This activity allows you to follow rhinos on foot, learning about their behavior, conservation efforts, and the challenges they face. After the sanctuary visit, you’ll continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda. This drive takes approximately 4–5 hours Upon arrival at the park in the afternoon, you’ll embark on your first game drive, exploring the savannah and woodland habitats. Expect to encounter a variety of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions. You’ll then check in to your lodge or campsite near the park, enjoying the sunset over the savannah and preparing for the adventures ahead. Your experienced guide will navigate through the park’s diverse habitats—savannah, riverine woodland, and open plains—helping you spot some of Uganda’s iconic animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and numerous antelope species. After the morning game drive, you’ll return to your lodge for a brief rest and breakfast before heading to the Nile River for a boat cruise. This scenic journey takes you along the Victoria Nile, offering close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds. Optional Top of the Falls Hike: For those seeking adventure, an optional hike to the top of Murchison Falls is available. The trail leads you to the very edge of the waterfall, offering panoramic views of the waters below. After the cruise and optional hike, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch, relaxation, or additional activities. This is your last chance to spot animals in their natural habitat before departing. Depending on your luck and the season, you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, warthogs, and a variety of antelopes. After the game drive, you’ll return to your lodge for breakfast and check-out, taking in your final views of the park. You’ll then embark on the journey back to Entebbe, approximately a 7–8 hour drive, depending on stops. Along the way, enjoy the scenic Ugandan countryside, passing through small towns, villages, and rolling landscapes. You may opt for a lunch stop en route at a local restaurant or roadside spot. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or your preferred location, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable safari adventure.
