Guided by expert rangers, hike through lush vegetation in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Once located, spend a magical hour observing them feed, groom, and play in their natural habitat. The forest is also home to other primates, colorful butterflies, and diverse bird species. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided swamp walk. This community-run sanctuary offers excellent birding opportunities and sightings of monkeys, including red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as rich cultural interaction with the local community. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
