Day 1 You will be picked up from your hotel, villa or resort in Malindi or Watamu and driven to Tsavo East National Park via the Mombasa–Nairobi Trans-African Highway, entering through the Sala Gate. Your safari will take you through different sections of the park, especially the loop side, which is swampy and attracts many animals. You will also visit the pipeline area, where large numbers of elephants gather at the waterholes to drink and enjoy mud baths. Here, you will have the chance to see a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffalo and large herds of elephants. If you are fortunate, you may also witness the big cats, particularly lions, either on the hunt or feasting on a fresh kill. Lunch will be served at Ashnil Aruba or Sentrim Tsavo, before you depart for Malindi.
