Day 1 You'll be picked up at 5 am from your hotel and drive to Ngorongoro Crater with your packed breakfast. The drive takes 4 hours. This stunning place will offer you almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino and if we are lucky, we might spot one. Measuring an area of 260 Kilometers square and extending about 20km in diameter, you will need probably 5 to 6 hours to explore it. You will then head back to Arusha. You can expect to be back in town around 6 pm. You will enjoy your hot lunch at the Ngoitoktok Picnic area, which has a hippo pool.
