Day 1 5:00 am: You'll depart from your city hotel for Akagera National Park. A brief stop is planned en route for a restroom break at Imigongo Restaurant and Art Centre. We then resume our journey. 8:00 am: Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you'll complete necessary tour formalities and receive a briefing from the warden. You'll then head straight to the Lake Ihema jetty. At 9:00 am, you'll embark on a guided boat tour. The lake's shores host some of Africa’s densest populations of water birds. At 10:30 am, after the boat ride, you'll reconnect with your driver guide for a full-day game drive in Akagera National Park. You'll enjoy a hot lunch at Lake Mihindi Restaurant. The park's landscape, a harmonious blend of gentle hills and lowland swamps, offers a unique safari experience. You will exit the park from the North by 5:00 pm and drive back to Kigali. You'll arrive and be dropped off at your city hotel by 8:00 pm.
