Day 1Camp with the Hippos at Lake Mburo National Park Camp with the Hippos at Lake Mburo National Park You'll depart Entebbe and transfer to Nakiwogo fishing village for a boat trip to Mabamba Swamp with a specialized birding guide —an introduction to Uganda’s abundant birdlife and a chance to see the legendary shoebill stork. You'll continue to the equator for lunch. You'll transfer for a game safari at Lake Mburo National Park. Small groups travel in base vehicles groups of 4 or more in a two-vehicle convoy with radios and self-drive options. Lake Mburo is one of the smallest of Uganda’s National Parks, but a real gem. Abundant wildlife including impalas, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, water buffalos, elands, waterbucks, and if lucky, leopards. You'll camp in style down by the lake with the hippos and a ranger. You'll listen to them chuckling all night but watch out for the monkeys in the morning! The base vehicle provides a full kitchen for dinner and drinks under the stars and around the campfire. With comfortable beds, and a clean toilet block the truck has a private, hot shower. Day 2Lake Bunyonyi and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Lake Bunyonyi and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park You'll break camp early with a game safari through Lake Mburo and a fry-up for breakfast or whatever you fancy at Kazuma with spectacular views over the park and surroundings. You'll depart the park heading southwest to Kabale — the "Switzerland of Africa". You'll enjoy a scenic lakeside drive and late lunch at Lake Bunyonyi, one of the deepest and most beautiful lakes in Uganda with a rich and mystical history. After lunch, you will head into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on spectacular mountain trails to Buhoma. You'll have a camp at Ruhondeza Lodge, Buhoma. Dinner, drinks, campfire, and prep for the gorilla trek the next morning. Day 3Gorilla Trek, Ishasha Sector and Lake Edward Gorilla Trek, Ishasha Sector and Lake Edward Early transfer to Buhoma Gorilla HQ for briefing, cultural dancing, and jungle trek to see the endangered mountain gorillas. An unforgettable experience to get dragged through several hedges backward (or gentler if you prefer) and to spend an hour with our close cousins in their natural habitat. You'll return from the trek and continue on the forest trail for a guided game safari at Ishasha Wildlife Reserve, part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Abundant wildlife including elephants, kob, topi, hippos, and water buffalos, and home to the unique tree-climbing lions —same as any other lions, but these climb trees —find out why. Fingers crossed you'll see them! Short transfer to Kisenyi fishing village to camp on the shores of Lake Edward overlooking the flood plain. Several nighttime visitors in the searchlight, usually including hippos, kob, and waterbuck. If lucky, water buffalos, elephants, and perhaps hyenas. Queen Elizabeth National Park and Rift Landscapes

Day 4Queen Elizabeth National Park and Rift Landscapes Queen Elizabeth National Park and Rift Landscapes You'll depart camp for a short transfer to Kazinga Channel and into the heart of the Queen Elizabeth National Park with beautiful and occasionally spectacular, rift valley scenery. You'll arrive at the Katunguru boat dock for a guided boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Great way to see the wildlife, aquatic and birdlife along the banks including elephant and water buffalos, also kingfishers, weaver birds, and fish eagles. Lunch at the boat dock followed by a short transfer to the spectacular Twin Crater Lakes at Kyambura and an optional, short lakeside walk. Late afternoon game drive in Kasenyi sector by Lake George. One of the best game drives in Uganda with a good chance to see many now-established friends, as well as lions and perhaps leopards in their hunting grounds. Lodge for a final night in luxury banda at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge overlooking Kazinga Channel. You'll depart Kyambura and commence the journey back to Entebbe via the Rwenzori Mountains. You'll stop in at Fort Portal for lunch and rest stops to suit progress on the route home. You'll arrive in Entebbe late afternoon and drop off at accommodation and receive. Farewells and "medals" consisting of T-shirt stickers and certificates.
