Day 2Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park After breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, you will depart for Tarangire National Park which is among Tanzania’s largest national parks and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population, majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the park. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and countless elephants. You'll enjoy game drives with a picnic lunch. After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the park, you will drive straight to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest unbroken calderas on the planet with over 30,000 wild creatures in the caldera, breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five, that is, lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalos. It is one of the world’s most impressive and among the eight Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers mountain forests, woodlands, grasslands, lakes, swamps, and two major rivers. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site located in the park. Late in the afternoon, you will ascend the crater and drive back to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.
