Our professional driver-guide will pick you up from your Arusha hotel and give you a safari briefing before driving to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and towering baobab trees. From the open roof of your vehicle, enjoy views of seasonal swamps, golden savanna, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River, home to countless birds, giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and elephants. In the evening, head to your camping site for a freshly prepared dinner and an overnight stay under the African stars, surrounded by the sounds of the wild. Day 2Tarangire to Serengeti National Park Tarangire to Serengeti National Park After breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, crossing the scenic Malanja Depression en route to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Stop at Naabi Hill Gate for a short walk among the impressive granite kopjes while your guide completes park entry formalities. Enjoy a picnic lunch here before continuing with an afternoon game drive across the Serengeti—its name derived from the Maasai word Siringet, meaning “endless plains.” Overnight at Seronera Public Campsite, where you can relax and sleep under the starry Serengeti sky. Day 3Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservations Area Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservations Area Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, with the option to visit the hippo pools and the Seronera Visitor’s Centre. After a hearty bush breakfast, continue your game drive while gradually making your way back toward Naabi Hill Gate. By early afternoon, cross into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and ascend to the crater rim for dinner and an overnight stay. Overnight at Simba Campsite, where you’ll camp on the crater rim and take in stunning views of the Ngorongoro landscape under the star-filled sky. Ngorongoro Crater back to Arusha
Day 4Ngorongoro Crater back to Arusha Ngorongoro Crater back to Arusha After an early breakfast, descend more than 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a day of exceptional wildlife viewing. Sustained by year-round water and lush grazing, the crater supports impressive populations of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and the majestic African elephant. The area is also renowned for its high concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard—often spotted only by a trained eye. Visit Lake Magadi, a large yet shallow alkaline lake in the crater’s southwest corner, where flamingos, hippos, and a variety of water birds are commonly seen. In the late afternoon, return to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay, or continue to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Accommodation can be arranged on request at an additional cost.
