Day 1Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park Start your day early with a 6:00 AM hotel pick-up (time varies by location) for your 8:00 AM flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, landing at 9:15 AM. Meet your friendly driver-guide and set off on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, as your guide shares stories about Arusha and Maasai culture. Tarangire is famous for its giant baobabs, large elephant herds, and diverse landscapes, ranging from seasonal swamps to open savannahs, with the Tarangire River running through it. Look out for lions stalking prey or leopards relaxing in trees. Enjoy your packed lunch inside the park and continue your game drive into the afternoon. By 4:00 PM, your safari ends and youโll head to your lodge for relaxation. As evening falls, unwind with a delicious dinner and soak in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness before your overnight stay. Today, youโll head to Lake Manyara National Park, set at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This beautiful park is known for its stunning landscapes, from lush forests to open savannahs, and its famous tree-climbing lions. Keep an eye out for elephants, graceful giraffes, and a variety of bird species around the shimmering alkaline lake. Enjoy a captivating game drive through this diverse paradise before heading back to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 PM flight to Zanzibar, carrying memories of your incredible journey through Tanzaniaโs wild wonders.
