Day 2Antananarivo to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park Antananarivo to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park After breakfast, depart from Antananarivo and enjoy a scenic drive east to Andasibe, a region known for its lush tropical rainforests. Along the journey, you will pass through the picturesque landscapes of the eastern highlands, where you can observe traditional villages, rice paddies and vibrant local markets. In the evening, participate in a guided night walk through the forest, where you may have the opportunity to spot nocturnal species such as chameleons, tree frogs and the elusive nocturnal lemurs. You will spend the night in Andasibe. Day 3Andasibe-Mantadia National Park Andasibe-Mantadia National Park Spend the day exploring Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, one of Madagascar's premier wildlife destinations. The park is renowned for its population of indri-indri, the largest lemur species, and is famous for its haunting calls that echo through the forest. Accompanied by a local guide, you will hike through the dense rainforest, spotting other lemur species, such as the diademed sifaka and bamboo lemur, as well as unique bird species like the blue coua. This is also a wonderful opportunity to observe the area's incredible flora, which includes orchids, pandanus and rare ferns. Overnight in Andasibe. Day 4Andasibe to Palmarium Reserve Andasibe to Palmarium Reserve In the morning, depart from Andasibe and head south to the Palmarium Reserve. This unique private reserve, located on the banks of the Pangalanes Canal, is home to various species of lemurs, including the crowned lemur, the black-and-white ruffed lemur, and Coquerel's sifaka. In the evening, enjoy a boat trip on the calm waters of the Pangalanes to a small island where you can spot the rare nocturnal lemurs known as aye-aye.
