Seasonal Guide
Best Time to Visit Kruger
Kruger is best visited during the dry winter months (May–September) when sparse vegetation and fewer water sources concentrate wildlife. June through August offers the best Big Five sighting rates. Summer (November–February) brings newborn animals, migrant birds, and lush landscapes but thicker bush makes spotting harder.
