Day 2Amboseli National Park Amboseli National Park After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive, carrying a packed lunch in hand. You’ll have the opportunity to spot lions, buffaloes, zebras, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. The park has recorded over 400 bird species, including kingfishers, pelicans, African fish eagles, and the endangered Malagasy pond heron. Head to the park’s swamps, such as Enkongo Narok Swamp, which attract a variety of animals and birds. It's a great spot for a picnic lunch and some relaxation. You will have the option to visit a Maasai village, where you’ll get a glimpse into their homes, social structure, singing, and dances. In the afternoon, we’ll head out for a game drive around the lake, home to the famous pink flamingos. Lake Nakuru also hosts Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary and has one of the largest populations of black rhinos in the world, along with a significant number of white rhinos. Predators in the park include lions, leopards, and large pythons, which can sometimes be seen crossing the road or hanging from trees in the dense woodlands. Other wildlife includes Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, long-eared leaf-nosed bats, colobus monkeys, rock hyraxes, waterbucks, impalas, striped hyenas, wildcats, reedbucks, and golden cats.
