Day 1Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park The transfer starts early in the morning, exactly at 6:30 a.m., from your residence in Kampala or Entebbe. After your breakfast, the safari guide will pick you up to head to Queen Elizabeth for 417km, about a 7-hour drive southwest of Kampala. The road trip starts from Kampala to the west and has the first stopover at the Equator for amazing photos and demonstrations about the geographical separation of the northern and southern hemispheres. From there, you will continue with your road trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and be welcomed by the beautiful Rwenzori Ranges. Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will have an evening game drive in the park, which is highly relaxing. You'll have views of several wild animals, including leopards, hogs, lions, buffaloes, duikers, hyenas, gigantic elephants, and antelopes species. You will then check into the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. By exactly 8:00 a.m., you will start your gorilla trekking moments into the forest. This exciting activity involves encountering the heavily forested and dense landscape with plenty of animal tracks which ensures access for tourists tracking these animals. Animals include the endangered mountain gorillas. Mountain gorillas form the best highlight of the park. This thrilling, memorable activity will leave you with a desire to have it again. After gorilla trekking, you will embark on the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi with a drive through the fascinating Kigezi terraced highlands. You will arrive there in the afternoon, and go for the canoe ride on the lake or nature walk around the area to enhance your experience of the second deepest Lake in Africa, with about 29 Islands. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
