Tarangire National Park is named after the Tarangire River that crosses through it. The park is famous for its big herds of elephants, huge baobab trees and high numbers of predators. Day 2Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park After breakfast, we will leave Karatu village and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will cross the Ngorongoro Highlands until we reach the Serengeti gate. Here we will spend this day exploring Serengeti National Park on game drives. The Serengeti is the most famous park in all of Africa. It features more than 15,000 square kilometers of savannah full of lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants and many other wild animals. In the afternoon, we will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for our overnight stay on the crater rim. Activities: Game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is a must-see while on safari in Tanzania for its high density of wild animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a conservation project where the Maasai and their livestock live together with wild animals.
