Later you’ll depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes and is known for its wide ecological diversity, with flamingos and other water birds serving as the major attractions. The ecosystem also supports 56 different species of mammals, including white rhinos and buffaloes. The park is home to all the “Big Five” except elephants, as well as giraffes, zebras, hippos, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, and more. With over 350 bird species, including the greater and lesser flamingos, you can also spot plovers, marabou storks, white pelicans, and egrets.
