Maun - Okavango Delta
Day 1Maun - Okavango Delta Maun - Okavango Delta You will take a one-hour motorboat or 4×4 vehicle ride (depending on the local water levels) from your hotel or airport to the community-run mokoro station. Upon arrival at the Mokoro Station, you will be met by your mokoro (a traditional dug-out canoe) guide who will assist you in loading your luggage and equipment into the mokoro. The next 3 hours will be spent on a mokoro, gliding through the waterway on your way to camp. Once you arrive at your riverside campsite, you will settle in, have lunch and enjoy some rest and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will embark on a mokoro ride through the delta and then return back to camp. You will have time to take a shower and then enjoy a hot dinner around the campfire before turning in for the night. Day 2Okavango Delta - Maun Okavango Delta - Maun After a very early wake up call, you will enjoy coffee, tea, cereal and rusks before departing on an early morning game walk. You will return at mid-morning for a hearty brunch and then take some time to relax in camp. During this time, you can ask your guide to take you for a swim depending on a season of the year. Later in the afternoon, you will check-out and make your way back to the mokoro station for your motorboat pick-up back to Maun. This is where your safari will end.
