Day 1 For a successful gorilla trek in Uganda from Kigali, you shall wake up at 3:30 am, prepare yourself and at exactly 4:00 am, leave Kigali for Uganda. The drive from Rwanda to Uganda takes you roughly 4 hours through Katuna or Cyanika borders to catch up with a pre-trekking briefing at the park headquarters in Bwindi. You will then hike into the jungle in search for mountain gorillas, which may take you several hours depending on the location of these endangered species. You will spend an hour with mountain gorillas and then descend back. Pick your trekking certificate from the park headquarters and return back to Kigali for your return flight. The package is also suitable for those who are already in Kisoro or Kabale.
