Day 1 Your adventure begins before sunrise and our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or lodge in Kabale (or Kisoro) and brief you on the day’s plan. As you drive through misty hills and villages waking to life, the excitement builds as you’re heading into the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive at the park headquarters by 7:00 AM for registration and a short orientation by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You’ll be assigned to a gorilla family group and meet your trekking team before setting off into the forest. Time seems to pause as you observe their interactions, realizing how closely we are connected. You’ll spend up to one magical hour with the gorillas, taking photos (without flash) and simply soaking in the moment. Your guide will then transfer you back to your hotel or lodge in Kabale.
