Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Day 2Arusha to Tarangire National Park Arusha to Tarangire National Park Leave Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Tanzania’s third-largest national park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. Post the game drive, you will head back to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you. Tarangire to Central Serengeti National Park
Day 3Tarangire to Central Serengeti National Park Tarangire to Central Serengeti National Park After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy an en-route game drive. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and then enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park between 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. North Serengeti to Central Serengeti National Park
Day 5North Serengeti to Central Serengeti National Park North Serengeti to Central Serengeti National Park You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full-day game drives around 9:00 am with a packed lunch and return to the lodge late afternoon at around 6:00 pm. Alternatively, you can depart at 6:00 am on an early morning game drive. Later return to your accommodation for breakfast, relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti - known as the Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and, therefore, attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off-season of the migration, one must look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. Return to the camp for lunch and then depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay while enjoying game drives en route. Your overnight stay will be at Rhino Lodge. Day 7Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu After breakfast, you will descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor where you will able to see all the Big Five, different types of birds, and black rhinos available inside the crater. On this day, you will have your lunch inside the crater while watching nature and high concentrations of flamingos. Animals available there are over 6,000 wildebeest, 4,000 black spotted hyenas, 2,000 zebras, 2,000 elands, 3,000 gazelles, 200 elephants, over 30 lions, 30 black rhinos and many small animals like kobs, antelopes, jackals, hippos and different species of birds. This highly visited African attraction is the world’s largest inactive, unbroken and unfilled volcanic caldera and this explosion created a caldera approximately two and a half million years ago. After lunch, you will be back in Arusha.
