Expert guides will provide essential information on rules, guidelines, and expectations. Then, you'll embark on a 3-5 hour forest trek to track the chimps, known for their vocal and dramatic behavior. You'll enjoy a thrilling hour of observation, capturing memorable photos. In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge, check out, and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After checking in at the lodge, you'll unwind with dinner and a relaxing overnight stay. Day 3Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise You'll begin the day with a thrilling morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering a chance to spot the Big Five and other incredible wildlife against a stunning savannah backdrop. You'll savor a picnic breakfast amidst nature's splendor, keeping watch for majestic elephants, lions, and diverse animal species, as well as vibrant birdlife. After lunch, you'll embark on a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles, and other fascinating creatures await. Binoculars will be provided to enhance your birdwatching experience along the shoreline. Later at 4:00 pm, you will head out for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains. You'll conclude the day with a delightful dinner back at the lodge. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 4Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Having taken an early morning breakfast, you'll check out and then head to the Ishasha Sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you'll continue to the accommodation at the edge of Bwindi National Park. Day 5Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi • Morning: • Gorilla Trekking: After an early breakfast, you'll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking protocols. Then, you'll embark on an exhilarating trek through the dense forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find them, you will spend up to an hour observing these majestic creatures. • Afternoon: • Lunch and Rest: After the trek, you'll return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch and rest. • Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: Later in the afternoon, you'll transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, known for its stunning views and numerous islands. • Evening: • Relaxation: Unwind by the lakeside, enjoy the serene environment, or opt for a short canoe ride on the lake. • Accommodation: Heritage Lodges Habuharo • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Day 6Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park After an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Having reached the lodge, you shall check in. Relaxation and then lunch. You shall go for an afternoon boat cruise at the lake within the park at 2:00 pm, where you will be able to spot different wild animals that live both in water and on land, such as hippos and crocodiles. Having finished the boat cruise, you shall go for an evening game drive within the park, spotting different animals living within the park. The expected animals include: giraffes, Zebras, waterbucks, impalas, buffalo, oribi, elands, warthogs, baboons, and on a lucky day’s leopard can be spotted as well. You shall return to the lodge, then dinner and an overnight stay. Along the way, you'll enjoy the picturesque landscapes of rolling hills, terraced farms, and traditional homesteads. Stopover: You'll take a break at the equator for a photo opportunity and to witness the water experiment demonstrating the Coriolis effect. Drop off at Entebbe International Airport or any place around Kampala or Entebbe.
