Day 1Pick-up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Lake Mburo National Park Pick-up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Lake Mburo National Park Early in the morning, after your breakfast, your driver-guide will meet you at your hotel, and he will take you through the details of your trip. Thereafter, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, for gorilla trekking via Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator to take photos and then proceed to Lake Mburo National Park for a game drive. You will see animals like giraffes, elands, warthogs, buffaloes, zebras, and waterbucks, and you will experience the lush savanna. You will proceed to Mbarara for lunch and then to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, there are many sights, such as the beautiful scenery as you approach the park. There are animals like colobus monkeys, forest elephants, birds, and waterfalls, though mountain gorillas are the most popular. Check in at the lodge, unwind, have dinner and overnight. Day 2Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the Batwa community experience Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the Batwa community experience After an early breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters, where the ranger guide will brief you on what to do and not to do while in the park. Thereafter, you will proceed with the ranger to look for the mountain gorillas. This involves hiking up and down rugged paths. You need to be physically fit and carry a walking stick, which will be provided. You can also use the local porters to carry your luggage. When you meet these gentle giants, follow what your ranger guide tells you. Stand 6 meters away from them as you watch the mothers feed the young ones, the juveniles playing, and the silverbacks guarding their territory. Also, don’t forget to bring enough water, a raincoat, sturdy shoes, long-sleeved trousers, and snacks. Return to your lodge after the trekking and have lunch. In the afternoon, you can relax at the lodge or go for a walk through the Batwa community and enjoy their cultural performances through dance and drama. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 3Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park After breakfast, check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector, which is the southern sector of the park. Along the way, you will see different animal species, including birds, bushbucks, elephants, gazelles, buffaloes, monkeys, and kobs, but the tree-climbing lions are the most common. On your arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch as you prepare for an evening game drive. Then, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Then, enjoy the morning game drive on the Kasenyi trail, where you will have a chance to see animals such as lions, warthogs, elephants, topis, and buffaloes, among others. You will also observe several different bird species. Return to your lodge to rest and have lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This boat trip takes 2 hours and will give you an opportunity to see different water animals up close. These include hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes along the banks. See birds like the saddle-billed stork, African Fish eagle, pink-backed pelican, pied and malachite kingfisher, African skimmer and the shoebill, if you are lucky. You will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Kampala, which you will reach in the afternoon as you prepare for your next destination. You will have a stopover at the Equator for lunch and also take pictures for lasting memories about the "pearl of Africa". This marks the end of your 5-day tour.
