Day 3Serengeti National Park Serengeti National Park After breakfast, we depart and drive to Serengeti National Park. We will have a hot lunch before checking in at the camp. Dinner and our overnight stay are at the Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp. Serengeti National Park is well known for a couple of reasons: the number of resident animals, including the Big Five, named after the five most prized trophies hunters took. Further, it is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due to the abundance of prey in the area. More than 3000 lions live in this ecosystem. Another reason is the African leopard, a reclusive predator commonly seen in the Seronera region but present throughout the park with an estimated population of around 1 000. The African elephant roams the area in great numbers.
