Your journey starts with a 7:00 AM pickup from your Windhoek accommodation, followed by a quick pre-departure meeting at Chameleon Headquarters. Heading north, you'll pause in Otjiwarongo for supplies and enjoy a light lunch on the move. As you enter the legendary Etosha National Park, get ready for an awe-inspiring game drive through its 22,000 square kilometres of wilderness, home to 114 mammal species, 350 bird species, and more! You'll arrive at your overnight camp—Halali or Okaukuejo Camp—before sunset, where you’ll settle into a comfortable twin-share room with an en-suite bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. After a delicious dinner at the camp restaurant, don’t miss the floodlit waterhole nearby, a hotspot for nighttime visits from elephants and the critically endangered black rhino! You'll rise early for breakfast and begin an exciting game drive with a local guide in an open game viewer—the perfect way to spot big cats returning from their hunts. You’ll visit numerous waterholes, where thirsty animals like elephants and giraffes come to drink, and take a closer look at the mesmerizing Etosha Pan, a 4,700-square-kilometer mineral marvel. After a break at camp, you'll continue your adventure, exiting at Anderson Gate near sunset. You'll relax at your new base—Etosha Village, Etosha Safari Lodge, or Okatula Lodge—in a spacious twin-share room with a modern en-suite bathroom, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. After breakfast, you'll hit the road by 7:30 AM, traveling south through Damaraland’s breathtaking landscapes of mountains, grasslands, and pink granite koppies. You'll meet colourful Himba, Herero, and Damara locals selling handmade crafts, and enjoy a picnic lunch beneath the majestic Brandberg Mountain (2,573m). As you reach the Skeleton Coast, you'll feel the wild energy of the Atlantic Ocean and stop for photos at the Zeila shipwreck. You'll arrive in Swakopmund, a quirky coastal town founded in 1892, and check into Hotel A La Mer, a centrally located gem with twin-share rooms featuring en-suite bathrooms. You'll explore on foot, admire German colonial architecture, and dine at one of the town’s top restaurants (guide recommendations included)!
