Along the way, you'll enjoy the picturesque landscapes of rolling hills, terraced farms, and traditional homesteads. • Stopover: You'll take a break at the equator for a photo opportunity and to witness the water experiment demonstrating the Coriolis effect. Then, you'll continue to Mbarara city and have a stopover for a lunch break. Thereafter, you'll pass through the hilly terrain of western Uganda and proceed to the home of gorillas (Bwindi). Afternoon: • Arrival: You'll arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the late afternoon and check in. • Relaxation: You'll spend the rest of the evening at leisure, preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience. Then, you'll embark on an exhilarating trek through the dense forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find them, you will spend up to an hour observing these majestic creatures. • Afternoon: • Lunch and Rest: After the trek, you'll return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch and rest. • Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: Later in the afternoon, you'll transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, known for its stunning views and numerous islands. • Evening: • Relaxation: Unwind by the lakeside, enjoy the serene environment, or opt for a short canoe ride on the lake. • Accommodation: Heritage Lodges Habuharo • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
