Day 2Akagera Akagera Start with a relaxed breakfast before heading to Lake Ihema for a 09:00 guided boat ride. Spot water birds like the papyrus gonolek and the elusive shoebill stork. Once done, head back to the jetty. Rejoin your guide for a full-day game drive exploring the southern giraffe area and the lakes road toward Birengero. Enjoy a hot lunch again at Lake Mihindi Restaurant. The afternoon is packed with chances to see buffalo, lions, antelope, and possibly even leopards or white rhinos.
