Day 1Entebbe to Mabamba Swamp and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Entebbe to Mabamba Swamp and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary After breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, your driver guide will meet you for a safari briefing before transferring you to Mabamba Swamp. Here you will board small canoes and paddle through the papyrus channels in search of the legendary shoebill stork and other water birds. After birdwatching, continue the drive northwards to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to Uganda’s only wild rhinos. In the evening, relax at the guesthouse and listen to the sounds of the bush with chances of rhinos grazing nearby. Overnight at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Guesthouse. Drive to the closest point near the rhino trails before starting the walk on foot. Accompanied by expert trackers, you will get a safe but close view of these endangered animals as they graze and interact. After the experience, depart from the sanctuary and drive back to Entebbe, marking the end of your 2-day safari filled with memorable wildlife encounters.
