This journey is approximately 151km, and you will enjoy a packed lunch box in the park. Named after the Tarangire River, the Tarangire National Park is the only water source for the region's wildlife during the dry season. The park has diverse vegetation, unlike others in the northern safari circuit. Tarangire National Park is home to a large concentration of wildlife, including large mammals and hundreds of bird species. Established in 1970, the park's attractions include diverse wildlife and vegetation, birds, tree-climbing African pythons, and baobab trees. Apart from game viewing, Tarangire is a perfect destination to observe birds. Our guests can also embark on nature walks and engage with locals to experience their culture. Day 2Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater Program: Today, after breakfast, you will take your lunch boxes and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we descend into the crater for a game drive. In the crater, you enjoy a spectacular environment with breathtaking landscapes, the Big Five (rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and elephants), and other animals like zebras, hippos, wildebeest, hyenas, and a large variety of birds (flamingoes, geese, storks, and vultures). We will have lunch at a picnic site in the crater, at Ngoitoktok Swamp, a hippo pool. Once we finish the game drive, we will transfer you to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, ready for your flight home or to another destination.
