You will relax in the evening with a stroll around the tranquil waters of Lake Tritriva or Andraikiba. This journey takes about four hours, descending from the highlands into the warmer and drier western region. Upon reaching Miandrivazo, you will board a traditional pirogue (dugout canoe) to begin your serene descent along the Tsiribihina River. You'll marvel at the unspoiled landscapes, spot endemic bird species, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of river life. Your crew will prepare meals and set up camp along the riverbanks. The drive is an adventure in itself, taking approximately six to seven hours along rugged roads and through picturesque landscapes. You will arrive in Bekopaka in the evening and settle into your lodge, ready to explore the wonders of the Tsingy. Guided hikes will take you through the Petit Tsingy and Grand Tsingy areas, offering spectacular views and opportunities to see wildlife such as Decken’s sifaka and various endemic birds. Expect moderate to challenging treks with some sections involving suspension bridges and ladders. Evenings will be spent relaxing at your lodge. The drive takes approximately six hours, passing through scenic landscapes and traditional Malagasy villages. In the evening, you will enjoy a night walk in Kirindy to spot nocturnal creatures such as the elusive fossa, giant jumping rats, and various lemur species. The reserve is famous for its dry deciduous forest and high biodiversity.
