Day 1 In the morning after breakfast, your guide will pick you up so you can start your journey with your lunch box heading to Tarangire National Park. 2 hours’ drive (110 km) from Arusha for a full day game drive will begin including lunch at Matete Picnic Site. Tarangire national park has a stunning baobab-studded landscape and is a bird watching paradise, containing the highest number of breeding birds species of any habitat in the world. It is also home to thousands of resident Elephants and huge herds of Buffalo, a good place to see Leopards and Lions and a wide variety of plains game. The Tarangire river runs through the center of the park and is a magnet for a wide variety of animals especially in the dry season. After a wonderful game drive you will head back to Arusha.
