Itinerary

Nairobi

You'll be picked up at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and driven to your hotel in Nairobi. Once you check in, the tour operator will go over what's coming up for the rest of your trip.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Your driver picks you up in the morning for the drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, about 3 hours and 18 minutes away. You'll make a quick stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint in Mai Mahiu along the way. After arriving at the park, there's a game drive on the way to your lodge, then check-in and lunch. You'll rest briefly before heading back out for an afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge by evening.

Maasai Mara National Reserve

You're out early after breakfast for a full day game drive through different parts of the park. A picnic lunch comes along during the drive so you can keep exploring and watching for wildlife. By evening you'll head back to the lodge to clean up, relax, and have dinner.

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll drive for 4 hours across the valley toward Narok, passing the Longonot earth satellite station and farmland with wheat and barley crops. You'll reach Masai Mara lodge in time for lunch, which you can have at your own pace. In the late afternoon you'll do a game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

You'll spend the full day on a game drive with a packed lunch provided during the outing. The park is known for its black-maned lions and black-maned lions and the chance to see the Big Five all in one morning. You'll also spot nearly 500 bird species like eagles, hawks, vultures, storks, and bustards.

Tarangire National Park

You're transferring from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park, crossing through the Isebania border. Your morning starts with game drives in Masai Mara, then after you cross the border there are afternoon game drives in Serengeti as you make your way to the tented camp.

After an early breakfast at 6:30am, you'll head out for a full day game drive with a packed lunch. You'll explore Serengeti's massive open plains and see over 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and major predators. Nearly 500 bird species can also be spotted. You'll get back for dinner.

Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, you'll drive down to the crater floor for a 5-hour game drive. You can see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and birds throughout the day. Lunch is a picnic at Hippo Pool, then you'll make the steep climb back up. With about an hour left to go, you'll reach the Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu for dinner.

At 8:00am after breakfast, you'll head to Tarangire National Park for a half-day game drive. Tanzania's third-largest park has massive baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which is home to some of Africa's largest elephant herds. You may also see lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra.

You'll have a morning game drive while heading toward Arusha. Once you arrive, the rest of the day is free for you to explore on your own or just relax at the lodge. You'll have dinner and spend the night there.

After breakfast you'll drive to Arusha, then transfer for about an hour to the Namanga border to meet your Kenya guide. From there you'll continue to Amboseli for a game drive, arriving at Amboseli Sopa Lodge around lunchtime. You'll take a short break, then head out for an afternoon game drive at 4:00pm before dinner and overnight.

After a good breakfast, you'll do a full day game drive in Amboseli with a packed lunch. The park sits against the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, and you'll see huge herds of elephants, lions, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, gazelles, hippos, and wildebeest. Over 400 bird species can also be spotted.

After breakfast you'll check out and drive back to Nairobi, about 265 km or roughly 4 hours. Once you arrive, you'll head to Carnivore Restaurant for a farewell lunch before heading to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
