Day 1Antananarivo Antananarivo You will be arriving in Antananarivo. Our guide will pick you up at the airport. A city tour can be managed depending on the arrival time of the client. Overwise a late or evening landing will be a straight transfer to the hotel, 15 minutes from the airport. Antananario - Diego
Day 2Antananario - Diego Antananario - Diego Early departure from the hotel, to reach the national airport of Ivato, taking a local flight with Madagascar airline Company, from the capital city of Madagascar to reach Diego. Upon our landing in Diego, an Italian-speaking guide is already waiting with a private 4WD, heading straight to the hotel for check-in. You can start visiting the 3 bays that make the beach of Diego a famous one. Afterward, a lunch time in the beautiful beach of Ramenais is scheduled in the afternoon. Your overnight stay will be in the Royal Sakalava hotel. Day 3Expedition at Suarez Island Expedition at Suarez Island You'll have an early departure from the hotel to reach the embarkation for the boat. Today's destination is the island of Suarez. It feels relatively untouched and less touristy than some of Madagascar’s more famous resort islands, which makes it more authentic. Boat time: 30 to 45 minutes Activities: - Beach time - Picnic time, the boatman will go fishing while we enjoy the natural blue of the sea. NB Departure time at 2 pm or before, taking into consideration the weather conditions. A plastic bag is mandatory for not being wet and to protect all electronic devices. Diego - Joffre Ville
Day 4Diego - Joffre Ville Diego - Joffre Ville Early departure from Diego, to Joffre ville, on the road, you will visit the endemic baobab of the North, well known as the Andasonia Suarezienziz, which is endemic to this part of the island. Once arriving in Joffre Ville, you can start the visit to Amber Mountain National Park. The tour may take us about 2 to 3 hours maximum. Activities: - Amber Mountain National Park visit. Joffre Ville - Anjahakely
Day 5Joffre Ville - Anjahakely Joffre Ville - Anjahakely After breakfast, you will head along the national road RN6, on the way to reach Anjahakely. Your itinerary will include a visit to the Tsingy Rouge (Red Tsingy). Even though it is near Diego Suarez (Antsiranana), it is like stepping into another world; it’s one of those "Is this still Earth?" kind of places. Here's what to expect: Unlike the gray limestone of the Tsingy de Bemaraha or in Ankarana, the Tsingy Rouge are red sandstone and laterite formations, shaped by erosion into spires, needles, and delicate towers. They're uniquely colorful, with hues ranging from rust-red to soft pink, especially striking in the sunlight. After the visit, you will head to Anjahakely, where you will spend the night at their private lodge. Your overnight stay will be at: Ankiba Lodge Anjahakely. Activities: - Visit to Tsingy Rouge National Park - Night walk in Anjahakely Driving distances: 107 km distance walk: 45 minutes to 1 hour. Day 6Anjahakely Private Reserve Anjahakely Private Reserve You'll be visiting Akiba Lodge, Anjahakely, which offers an immersive experience in Madagascar's northern wilderness. Situated within the Andrafiamena Andavakoera Protected Area, approximately a three-hour drive south of Diego Suarez, the lodge provides a unique opportunity to explore the region's rich biodiversity and engage with local communities. Nature & Wildlife • Perrier’s Sifaka: The lodge is adjacent to the Analamerana Special Reserve, the last refuge of the critically endangered all-black Perrier’s sifaka, with only about 250 individuals remaining in the wild. • Other Lemur Species: You may also encounter crowned lemurs, Sanford's brown lemurs, Ankarana sportive lemurs, and northern rufous mouse lemurs during guided walks, Birds & Reptiles. Activities -Visit to Anjahakely private reserve, the total walk may take half a day - Night walk can be done if and only if it was not done the day before. Day 7Akiba Lodge -Ankarana -Ambilobe Akiba Lodge -Ankarana -Ambilobe The destination of today is the visit of Ankarana National Park, 1h30 as a time driving above a 4WD from Anjahakely, visiting Ankarana national park is amongst the high light of the tour as it allow us, to have a unique experience of visiting a limestone very different from the RED tsingy, a formation shaped a million years ago when Madagascar was splitting from African continent. The tour will take about 2 hours, led by a local guide inside the park. A pair of walking boots would be a better outfit for the tour, plus insect repellent. After the visit, your Italian-speaking guide will find a good restaurant for lunch, the afternoon will be heading straight to Ambilobe. Activities: - Ankarana National Park visit Distance drive: 74Km.
