Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred north by road through dry deciduous forest landscapes to Kirindy Reserve (approximately 2–3 hours). After check-in, enjoy a guided late afternoon and evening walk in the reserve, offering a chance to spot nocturnal wildlife such as the elusive fossa, mouse lemurs, and various endemic reptiles. As the sun begins to set, stop at the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs—a magical location where ancient Grandidier’s baobabs cast long, photogenic shadows over the dusty track. It’s a perfect opportunity for sunset photography before continuing to your hotel in Morondava. Upon arrival, you will continue your journey by road eastward towards Andasibe National Park (approx. 4–5 hours), driving through the scenic highlands and lush tropical forest. In the evening, embark on a guided night walk along the forest edge to discover the park’s nocturnal species, including frogs, chameleons, and mouse lemurs.
