Glide through papyrus-lined waterways in a local dugout canoe, accompanied by expert rangers and local guides as you search for the rare shoebill stork—often called the “living dinosaur.” After ample time observing this majestic bird and other swamp wildlife, return to the lodge to refresh before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile. Encounter hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, giraffes, and a variety of birdlife including kingfishers, bee-eaters, and raptors. The cruise ends at the base of the powerful Murchison Falls—an awe-inspiring sight.
