Day 1Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park Start your day early with a 6:00 AM hotel pick-up (time varies by location) for your 8:00 AM flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, arriving at 9:15 AM. Meet your driver-guide and set off on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, learning about Arusha’s history and Maasai culture along the way. Tarangire is known for its rich biodiversity, featuring large elephant herds and landscapes ranging from seasonal swamps to open savannahs, with the Tarangire River flowing through. Keep your eyes open for lions stalking prey or leopards lounging in the trees above. Enjoy your packed lunch inside the park and continue your exciting game drive into the afternoon. By 4:00 PM, your safari ends, and you’ll head back to your lodge to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and settle in for a peaceful overnight stay. You’ll depart for Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley. Famous for its diverse landscapes, the park is home to iconic tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, and a variety of bird species around the alkaline lake. Enjoy a captivating game drive through lush forests and open savannahs. Later, you’ll return to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 PM flight back to Zanzibar, carrying unforgettable memories of your adventure.
