Day 1Dar es Salaam to Selous and Boat safari Dar es Salaam to Selous and Boat safari You'll be picked up in Dar es Salaam from your hotel and travel 180km to Nyerere National Park (previously known as Selous). Usually, you'll start the journey after breakfast. You'll arrive at Nyerere National Park for lunch. At 4:00 pm, you'll start a scenic boat safari until sunset. You can see many colorful birds building nests, catching fish, or on the lookout for prey or predators. You can see crocodiles trying to absorb the warmth from the sun or trying to stay undetectable, fooling their prey. After the boat safari, we will bring you to the camp for dinner and stay in the accommodation. After breakfast, our professional guide will pick you up. You will have an opportunity to explore this park by car. You can see different landscapes, vegetations, animals —including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest (gnu), impalas, warthog (pumba), waterbucks, and different species of birds and plants —including the old baobab trees, mahogany, and the sausage trees. In the afternoon, you will have lunch inside the park in the picnic area inside the park. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive until late, before going back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. You will be back at the camp for the full breakfast and then check out to drive back to Dar es Salaam. The driver will drive you to your hotel or ferry and leave you with memories of a beautiful adventure.
