After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will transfer you to the starting point for a briefing about the gorilla trekking adventure. You will be briefed by experienced rangers/guides and trackers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Coming face to face with mountain gorillas depends on where they nested the previous night, and it can take between 2 and 8 hours before you meet them. Gorilla trekking can be physically demanding, but the whole experience is amazing and worth it. You will track a habituated family which is comfortable with human presence. Once you meet these beautiful and gentle giant gorillas, you will be allowed an hour with them, watching how they interact with their young ones, vocalize and feed. You will then have lunch away from them in the forest. After lunch, return to the park offices for a small ceremony and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. if you are tired, you can take a boat ride around the islands on Lake Bunyonyi.
