Day 1Arrival Arrival Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport. Meet and greet assistance at the airport, your driver/guide will meet you at the arrivals section. You will be transferred to your hotel in Kigali for an overnight stay. You will have dinner at your hotel or at a nearby restaurant, depending on your arrival time, then relax and prepare for an early start the next day. Day 2Mountain Gorilla Trek Mountain Gorilla Trek You will depart from Kigali around 4:30 AM, and the drive to Volcanoes National Park takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hourEnjoy the scenic drive through beautiful Rwandan countryside, passing by hills and villages. 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM – Arrival at Volcanoes National Park (Kinigi Headquarters) Upon arrival, you will register and receive a briefing from the park rangers about the gorilla trekking rules, safety guidelines, and etiquette. The briefing usually begins around 7:00 AM 8:00 AM After the briefing, you will be divided into groups and assigned to different gorilla families. The trek itself typically takes 1-4 hours depending on the location of the gorillas that day. The trek involves hiking through dense forest, bamboo, and potentially steep, Lunch will follow at one of the nearby Lodges or restaurants. After lunch, you will drive back to Kigali. you will arrive back at Kigali International Airport in time for your evening departure.
