You’ll travel southwest through the scenic Maasai Steppe toward Tarangire National Park (or Lake Manyara, depending on season and wildlife movement). Tarangire Option: Known for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers classic dry-season game viewing. Expect to see giraffes, buffalo, impala, and possibly lions or leopards near the Tarangire River. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 500 recorded species. Lake Manyara Option: Nestled beneath the Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is lush and compact, famous for its tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, and flamingos along the lakeshore.
