Safari Starts from Arusha - Drive to Tarangire National Park

Day 1Safari Starts from Arusha - Drive to Tarangire National Park Safari Starts from Arusha - Drive to Tarangire National Park After breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha or the airport and head straight to Tarangire NP. Tarangire is a national park in the Manyara region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. It ranks as the 6th-largest national park in Tanzania and covers an area of 2,600 square kilometers. The Tarangire NP is most popular for its large elephant herds and is usually very dry, drier than the Serengeti in fact. However, its vegetation is much greener with lots of elephant grass, vast areas with mixed acacia woodlands and some of the wonderful ribbons of the aquatic forest. The giant baobab trees can live up to 600 years, storing between 300 and 900 liters of water. In the afternoon you will break for lunch. After lunch, the game drive continues until you start driving to your lodge. You now have time to relax, dine, swim and relive the memories of the day. Day 2Proceed to Serengeti National Park Proceed to Serengeti National Park After breakfast, you will be picked up and depart to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, you will enjoy scenic views of Tanzania. You can exit the vehicle to view the Ngorongoro Crater and experience the Serengeti plains. Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. Over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size. Today, most visitors come here with one aim alone; to witness millions of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and eland on a mass trek to quench their thirst for water and eat fresh grass. During this great cyclical movement, these ungulates move around the ecosystem in a seasonal pattern, defined by rainfall and grass nutrients. Lunch will be offered on the vehicle during the safari. By late afternoon, you will arrive at your designated lodge to rest, dine and cherish the great moments during the safari.
